Participants from four Europaeum universities took part in a law conference at Charles University, Prague, on Causation in Law in Europe. The conference, on 27-28th October, was co-ordinated by Prof Lubos Tichy. 
The Europaeum is supporting an Economics workshop conference on 27-28th October at the University of Helsinki on the topic, Game Theory and Applications in Problems of European and International Economics .
The Europaeum- supported a conference on Ancient Egyptian Literature: Theory and Practice, at All Souls’ College and Christ Church, Oxford University concluded in early September.
Our nine students on the MA in European History and Civilization all a graduated on August 22nd in Leiden. One, Jan Machielsen, will stay on at Oxford to do a PhD; and Johan Olsthoorn will participate in the upcoming 2006 Europaeum Summer School in Krakow. 
The Europaeum is now offering a scholarship worth 5,000 Euros* to support one outstanding student on the Europaeum MA in European History and Civilisation at Oxford, Leiden and Paris, starting in late September. 
Applications are invited, especially from those outside Europe, for the Europaeum’s pioneering MA in European History and Civilisation with terms spent at Leiden, Paris and Oxford. This is an exciting programme providing a variety of perspective and a real ‘sense of Europe’. 
The Europaeum is supporting an international conference on Das Heilige Romische Reich, 1495-1806, to be held in Oxford from 30 August to 2 September 2006, Some 35 speakers have agreed to participate. About half will be from Germany and Austria; the rest from the USA, Britain and other European countries. The conference will be coordinated by Professor Robert Evans, of Oxford. See the
