Page 2 of 4 List of Speakers Hubert Kempf is a Professor of Economics, Université Paris-I, Panthéon-Sorbonne and Director of the Unité Mixte de Recherche du CNRS EUREQua. He has published numerous works in international economic journals. His research interests include the economics of monetary unions, public economics and political economy. Thierry Mayer is an Associate Professor of Economics, Université Paris-I, Panthéon-Sorbonne and a research affiliate in CEPII, CERAS, and CEPR. His research focuses on international trade, economic geography and European integration. Gianpaolo Rossini is a Professor of Economics at the University of Bologna, teaching and conducting research at European University Institute (Florence), University of Verona, University of Padova, University of Trieste, Sorbonne, Brown University and CNR. His research interests include international economics, microeconomic theory, industrial organisation, comparative economics and economic integration. František Turnovec is a Professor of Economics at Charles University in Prague holding the Jean Monnet Chair in Economics of European integration. He is Head of Department of European Economic Integration and Economic Policy at the Institute of Economic Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University in Prague. He has published widely on political economy of European integration, public choice, microeconomics and game theory. Michael Kaser is Emeritus Professor at St. Antony’s College, Oxford. He served in the UN Economic Commission for Europe (1951-63) which afforded him research missions to Albania, Bulgaria, Romania and Yugoslavia. From 1997 he has drafted Albania Quarterly Report for the Economic Intelligence Unit, London, and advised upon the policy implications of the 1999 EU stability Pact for South East Europe.
