The Graduate Institute, Geneva, held a major international conference on Transatlantic Security Issues from the Cold War to the 21st Century from April 23-24th 2009.
Speakers included Philippe Burrin (Geneva), Jussi Hanhimaki (Geneva), Anne Deighton (Oxford), François David (Paris), Georges-Henri Soutou (Paris), as well as Sam Wells (Wilson Center, Washington, DC) and James Goldgeier (George Washington University, Washington, DC) both of whom contributed to the 2007 international conference Does the 'West' still exist? EU-US relations towards 2020 co-organised by the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, Weidenfeld Institute for Strategic Dialogue, and The Europaeum.
