A new book, Facets of Migration in Contemporary Europe derived from the 2008 Europaeum graduate workshop on European Migration in the 21st Century: a Challenge to Nation-States ? at Charles University, Prague, is to be  published by Ibidem verlag Stuttgart in late Spring. The book, presents a range of essays and analyses looking at the impact, effect and processes of migration in Europe over the past couple of decades.

The Europaeum workshop aimed to create a better understanding of the international migration processes, its causes, current developments and long term implications, through a multi-disciplinary dialogue. The event included lectures, group exercises, presentations, and discussions, particularly involving young scholars from Charles University, Prague, the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva, and Leiden University. The new book, edited by two of the graduate conveners Sergiu and Irina (Geneva) and Paul Flather (Oxford-Europaeum), will allow the ideas to reach a wider audience. Copies will be sent to each Europaeum university library.
