Bridging the Divide: EU-US Relations after 9/11
Lecturers will be drawn from Europaeum universities and governmental institutions and will address such themes as: concepts of international order after downfall of the Berlin Wall (American and European perspectives); ESDP and NATO – interlocking and interblocking partners in the European security architecture; global economies challenges – American and European answers; EU-US economic relations – how much cooperation, how much competition?; heritage and enlightenment – challenges to democracy in Europe and America in the beginning of the 21st century; and symbolic construction of identities in Europe and America after 9/11 – views from Venus and Mars.
The working language will be English.
