Hew Strachan is Chichele Professor of the History of War at the University of Oxford, Fellow of All Souls College, and Director of the Leverhulme Programme on the Changing Character of War.

- Delivered the Europaeum Lecture The Changing Character of War at the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva on November 9th, 2006.
Teaching and Research Interests:
Military history from the 18th century to date, including contemporary strategic studies, but with particular interest in the First World War and in the history of the British Army.
