Professor Pierre-Yves Hénin
President of Paris I University (Panthéon-Sorbonne)
Professor Pierre-Yves Hénin has been the President of Paris I University (Panthéon-Sorbonne) since 2004. He has taught there since 1975, giving courses on general economics, macroeconomics, dynamics, fluctuation and growth. He took his PhD in Economics from Paris I, after which he taught at the University of Orléans from 1972-75.
Dr. John Hood
Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford
Dr John Hood is the first Vice-Chancellor in Oxford’s 900-year history to come from outside its serving academic body. He was elected in October 2004, succeeding Sir Colin Lucas, who served as chair of the Europaeum Council with distinction for seven years. Prior to his election to Oxford, Dr Hood served as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Auckland. He also spent eighteen years with Fletcher Challenge Ltd, one of New Zealand''s largest companies, and has acted as strategic advisor to many corporations. He has also served as an advisor to the New Zealand Prime Minister on economic growth and enterprise.
