The University as Policy Maker and Society’s Friend
The task lying ahead of me is rather impressive. When thinking about my speech, I realised that it would be very difficult for me to do justice to everything that can be said under this heading, so I will have to restrict myself to what I deem to be the most important part: educating for governance and what universities have to do with the upcoming governance needs of different stakeholders of society.
