Europaeum Programmes
To facilitate these goals, the Europaeum organises, coordinates, and/or provides small grants for a number of programmes connecting our partner universities. These programmes fall into four categories. First, the Europaeum runs several long-term 'themed' programmes, which consist of conferences, seminars, lectures, summer schools, and colloquia associated with general topical themes such as The Future of European Universities; US-Europe TransAtlantic Dialogue; Culture, Humanities and New Technology; and, Islam-in-Europe.
The Europaeum supports specialised Europaem Research Project Groups which seek to stimulate new internationally linked research, within, but not exclusive to, the Europaeum academic community by launching a group, running a research seminar, coordinating a research proposal bid, or aiding research preparation.
Thirdly, the Europaeum offers small grants for new, innovative ideas as part of its New Initiative Scheme. Grants provide funds for single events such as conferences, lectures, or seminars, often supporting advanced graduates and young scholars.
Finally, the Europaeum sometimes supports Special Projects from both within and outside the Europaeum network, which seek to foster the core goals of the Europaeum. All Special Projects must, however, include three or more Europaeum partner universities

Some of the core goals of the Europaeum are to foster collaborative research, to provide opportunities for scholars, leaders, academics and graduates to stage conferences, summer schools and colloquia, and to enable leading figures from the worlds of business, politics and culture to take part in transnational and interdisciplinary dialogue with the world of scholarship.
